Vietnam Vegetable Oils Industry Corporation (VOCARIMEX) is a state-owned company, established pursuant to Decision No. 4799/QĐ - BCT dated on 28 september 2009 issued by Ministry of Light Industry, now Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Previously, the Company was known as South Vegetable Oil Company, under the Ministry of Food and Foodstuff, established in 1976. Corporate Social Responsiblity

Over the years, apart from incessantly developing business activities to better meet consumers’ demand, CALOFIC has acknowledged and given prominence to corporate responsibility towards state, community and society. Many charitable and social activities have been carried out in many consecutive years, typically:

  • Grant scholarships, give presents and educational equipments to children in Children Sponsoring Center of Quang Ninh Labor and Social Welfare Service, who are in difficult situations
  • In collaboration with Quang Ninh’s People Committee to found “CALOFIC Scholarship Fund” for the period from 2003 to 2013, with the total value of about 1.5 billion dong. The fund is used for poor and hardworking pupils of Quang Ninh province with the aim to partially finance them to further their study to university level
  • Implement “Free Health Check and Cardiovascular Consultancy” program in many provinces of the country, help disseminate knowledge and ways to take care of community cardiovascular health.
  • Implement “Bep Yeu Thuong” reality show calling for community’s support to charity kitchens in alleviating hardship of extremely poor situations
  • Sponsor Tam Long Viet Fund for “Trai tim cho em” program to support surgery fees for children with inborn heart defect.
  • Organize seminar series titled “Balance Nutrition - Healthcare Trend in the New Era” to increase knowledge and raise awareness among community on nutrition issues
